PCoIP方案将所有原本置于终端的运算与储存设备软硬件（包括目前使用的个人计算机、高效能工作站和服务器），都移至安全的场所严加防护，PCoIP只传送像素（Pixels）至每位终端使用者的PCoIP Zero Client终端机，不传送资料，所以资料仍然安全地存放于您的企业资料中心。
PCoIP Zero Client终端机仅简单地接收和解码经过加密的影像讯息，不会储存任何应用资料，因此能免除病毒攻击的危险。PCoIP连线使用高规格的AES 256和NSA Suite B Ciphers加密法，另外还提供USB安全授权与识别机制，包括搭配使用智慧卡（Smart Card）的单一登入（Single Sign-On）功能。
PCoIP远端工作站主机卡同时兼顾「CPU负载情况」、「传输负载情况」与「使用者体验」三项要素并加以优化，其他以软件编译码方式来进行远端处理的方案，在偏重任一项要素时，只能舍弃另两项要素。
